SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights between Sharjah International Airport and Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. Operating four times weekly, this new route enhances the airline’s connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia offers flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, the main airport serving Jordan’s capital. The new service provides travelers with a second option for reaching Amman via the airline’s Sharjah network, broadening its scheduled routes into Jordan.

Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs from Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, will leave Amman at 11:20 a.m. and arrive in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Air Arabia has begun accepting reservations for this route through its website, call center, and travel agents.
This new route further strengthens Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan network. The group currently operates flights connecting Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport are also part of their service portfolio. The new Sharjah route will therefore add another departure point from the UAE for flights to Amman City Airport, complementing the carrier’s current Jordan services.
Air Arabia broadens access to both Amman airports
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, stated that the new route provides travelers with access to a second airport in Jordan’s capital. He emphasized that this addition will offer greater convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the new Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month ahead of its scheduled November launch. It will operate alongside existing Sharjah flights to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier this year, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own route to Amman City Airport, starting on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. The Abu Dhabi branch also serves Queen Alia International Airport, giving travelers two options for flying into Amman from the UAE capital. In April, Air Arabia announced that the combined flights from Abu Dhabi to both airports totaled 10 weekly flights upon the launch of the second route.
Sharjah route to add four weekly flights to Jordan’s capital
Utilizing flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, the new Sharjah service will operate on a fixed four-day weekly schedule. The airline’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Passengers can also enjoy services such as SkyTime streaming, SkyCafe onboard menu, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Tickets for flights between Sharjah and Amman City Airport can be booked ahead of the November 15 launch through the airline’s established sales channels.
This expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s network into Jordan via three departure points: Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will now have direct flights to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates routes to both airports, and Alexandria offers a direct link to Amman City Airport. The upcoming November launch will bring four additional scheduled weekly flights connecting Sharjah to Jordan’s capital, further extending the group’s regional connectivity.
