SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights connecting Sharjah with Gdansk starting on Dec. 14, 2026. The new route will link Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport with a schedule of five flights per week. On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m., arriving in Gdansk at 8 p.m., while the return flight, G9 0629, departs Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and arrives in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following day. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights from Sharjah are scheduled for 8:15 a.m., with return flights leaving Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and reaching Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All times mentioned are local times.
Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah once the December services are operational. The airline currently serves Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its Sharjah hub. Additionally, Air Arabia will launch four weekly flights to Katowice starting Dec. 17, 2026, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. These new routes will expand the airline’s direct network in Poland beyond its current coverage of two cities, Gdansk and Krakow.
Gdansk joins Air Arabia’s expanding Polish route network
The new Gdansk route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European schedule from Sharjah, which includes destinations like Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline has also announced upcoming flights to Frankfurt and Katowice, further enhancing its network. The addition of Gdansk provides a route to Poland’s Baltic coast and offers travelers in the Pomeranian region direct scheduled connections to the UAE via Sharjah.

Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, highlighted the significance of the direct connection to Sharjah for the Pomeranian region. The airport has identified Sharjah as a transfer hub to destinations including India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Serving the broader Tri-City area, which encompasses Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, Gdansk Airport caters to various communities across northern Poland.
Five weekly flights link Sharjah with Gdansk
Air Arabia deploys Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its network. Customers can book the Gdansk flights through the airline’s website, call center, and authorized travel agencies. The schedule designates G9 0628 and G9 0629 for the Monday and Saturday rotations. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will operate as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. These five weekly flights will offer nonstop service in both directions between the two airports.
The launch of Gdansk services on December 14 will precede the start of Air Arabia’s Katowice route, which is scheduled to begin three days later. With the existing links to Krakow and Warsaw, these December additions will bring Air Arabia’s Polish network to four cities. From the published timetable, Gdansk travelers will have five nonstop options each week.
